TOURIST TOUR
FEBRUARY 12-19, 2023
sure go

A journey through the Panama Canal never ceases to amaze and delight. In recent years new interest has been added with the opening of the expanded locks at each end. While the original canal locks still accommodate an average of 42 vessels per day, the new locks handle about 7 or 8 huge ships. Up to 15,000 containers may be aboard, compared to the smaller ships of 5,000. Other types include streamlined auto carriers, bulk freighters, refers and cruise ships. While our cruise through the six locks will surely be one of the highlights of this tour there is so much more to see and do in Panama one being riding the Panama Railroad from sea to sea.
