GLACIER Np to Los Angeles
The Montana Experience
PRIVATE RAIL CAR / TOURIST TOUR
JULY 11-14, 2016
We invite you to join us on a very unique and spectacular private rail car journey onboard the classic Silver Solarium California Zephyr Vista Dome, Sleeper, Lounge, and Round End Observation car. This is the sole car of this type left in operation in the United States and will be on a repositioning move from Whitefish, Montana to Los Angeles via the Colombia River Gorge. This wonderful train trip through some of the most spectacular scenery found in America's west is limited to only 8 guests. We will have a chef and steward aboard, so expect to be pampered! All meals will be prepared on board fresh, and cooked in our galley, then served in the vista-dome using our monogram china, on tables set with original California Zephyr tablecloths, cut flowers and first class service. All gourmet meals and a fully stocked open bar are included for the entire trip.
Silver Solarium's accommodations include two double bedrooms, each with an upper and a lower berth; One drawing room, with two lower berths and an upper berth; One stateroom with a booth that makes down into a double side by side bed. All rooms have enclosed annexes with toilet, sink, and shower. It would be a shame to come all this far and not take the time to visit one of the great national parks in this country, so why not plan to arrive in Whitefish a day or two early to explore spectacular Glacier National Park. Hotels abound in the area, including gems inside the Park built a century ago by the Great Northern Railway. You don't have to take the train to get to Whitefish as the Glacier International Airport , located in Kalispell, is served by Alaska, Allegiant, Delta, and United. This airport is about 15 minutes from the Whitefish Amtrak station.
